Great food and drinks, friendly staff and family business (owner Tim and wife), very fun Majhoon last Thursday 5-close, with good table and instructions, beginners welcome. Casual and easy. Point system with $10 buy-in includes one welcome drink (non-alcoholic), and every round earns points. Stack them and redeem for food, drinks, or prizes throughout the night. Happy Hour also runs Thursday and Friday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Must try Hibiscus cider from Stem Cider (Denver, CO) semi-sweet session cider crafted with fresh-pressed apples and infused with tart hibiscus tea.

The food and coffee here are really good, been a couple of times now and each time we’ve gotten different things and everything tasted great! The couple who runs this place are really nice people. Will definitely keep going.

Sapha Kafae is an absolute treasure nestled in the heart of Sacramento. I stopped in hungry after a long bike ride through Land Park and downtown. I was greeted by a very kind and knowledgeable gentleman that walked me through the menu. For lunch, I got the Kai Gata, a breakfast platter full of different meats and 2 fried eggs. For my drink I ordered the Black Thai, a Thai tea with espresso and condensed milk. The food came out promptly and was hot and fresh. The Kai Gata was absolutely delicious and the portion was more than generous. It also came with a small loaf of fresh French bread! The Black Thai was perfectly sweet, complimenting high quality tea and espresso. There is a beautiful outdoor patio that is shaded by trees, a perfect spot to slow down in the busy city. I cannot recommend Sapha Kafae enough! It is family owned and loved, and it shows. The entire restaurant exudes passion and love, from the decor and the service, to the food and drinks. It is rare to find a restaurant that leaves me feeling so full of joy and good food. My whole meal came out to $20 which is an absolute steal for a hearty and healthy meal. 10/10 no notes!

My friend and I came here on April 3rd around 9:30 a.m. . When we got there the space was pretty chill. There were two other tables with patrons. When we got there another person showed up so I would say roughly nine people within the restaurant around that time. I was extremely excited that behind the register was the owner and we told him it was our first time and he gave us an explanation of the drinks and the food and what his recommendations were considering that we were pretty hungry. We got the Kai Gata, the sunrise wrap, the pandan cold brew, and Oliang. First thing I need to call out cuz this was a user error I did not stir my cold brew when I got it I just started drinking it and I should have started with the straw or a spoon because all of the syrup was at the bottom. So little FYI and make sure to stir it so you get the full experience and taste. Beyond that little cautionary tale, the space was amazing like I said earlier and when the food came the owner had a big smile on his face and he just again was someone that made you feel welcomed. 2026: Nice air-conditioned dining room! I go here a lot now..Food is always great and drinks too. The owners are the nicest people. Love that they have bike parking, happy hour extended days and mahjong classes. 2025: Delicious breakfast of soft boiled eggs (runny + yummy) with strong coffee and roti + condensed milk for a sweet treat. I worked here w my coworking group. Strong WiFi and friendly owners made it a comfortable place to work from. Tim & Gift are so welcoming. Later I had a Thai tea with espresso. When I lived in Thailand for 5 years, I used to drink this at a café in BangNa. It was called an "owl" นกฮูก bc it will make your eyes open wide 🦉. Great drink and perfect for a workday to stay awake and alert. The table next to me got the the nam phrik noom sampler platter and it looked incredible --lots of colorful veggies, meats and chile dip. I'll definitely be back to try it soon. Sacramento is lucky to have an authentic SE Asian café with this menu. I hope more people can be adventurous and give it a try soon!
